Terms
The agreement between you and Placed, in plain words. Last updated 21 September 2026. The privacy policy is part of it.
Who you are dealing with
Placed is run by Koskela Group Oy, PL 23, 02601 Espoo, Finland. These terms are the agreement between you and us for using placed.bet, the browser extension and the Telegram bot. Questions: hello@placed.bet.
By creating an account you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not, do not use Placed.
What Placed is
Placed is a ledger of your sports bets. When your bookmaker accepts a bet, the extension writes it down in your ledger; from a bookmaker's app you can send a screenshot to the Telegram bot instead. The ledger shows what is pending, what settled, and how you are doing.
Placed never places, changes or cancels bets, never signs in to a bookmaker for you, and never touches your bookmaker money. It is not a bookmaker, it takes no bets, and it gives no betting advice. It is not affiliated with any bookmaker.
Your account
Placed is for adults who bet legally where they live. You must be at least 18, or older if the law where you live says so, and you may only use Placed with bookmakers you are allowed to use.
One person, one account. Keep your password to yourself; what happens under your login is yours. Tell us at once if you think someone else has it.
Your ledger and your responsibility
A bet is read from what your bookmaker shows and confirms. Readings are accurate the overwhelming majority of the time, but a bookmaker can change its pages at any moment and a slip can be unclear. Check the numbers that matter to you; a bet the ledger is unsure about is marked for you to look at. You mark results yourself. Your bookmaker's records, not the ledger, are the final word on any bet.
Placed does not decide what you bet on, how much, or where. Any loss from betting is yours.
The free week
Every new account gets 7 days of Pro for free, from the moment it is created, with no card. After that you choose a plan or stop. Whatever you do, every bet placed while you keep the extension installed is still logged and kept; without a plan the ledger shows only the newest 10 bets, read-only, until you choose one.
Plans and prices
Bettor costs $9.99 a month or $79 a year and shows up to 50 bets a month from 3 bookmakers, over the last 90 days. Pro costs $24.99 a month or $199 a year with no limits, your whole history, the Telegram bot and export. What each plan includes is listed on the pricing page and can grow over time.
Prices are in US dollars and include tax where tax applies. Your card is charged in dollars; your bank may convert the amount and may charge a fee for that. Features marked as coming later are promises, not part of what you are paying for today.
If we raise a price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you. If you do not want the new price, cancel before then and nothing changes for you until your paid period ends.
Paying, renewing, cancelling
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card. A plan renews by itself, monthly or yearly as you chose, until you cancel. You cancel any time under Manage billing in the app; your plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for and stops. Nothing is deleted when a plan ends.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries the card for a few weeks and we email you. If it keeps failing, your plan ends and the ledger locks as it does without a plan; your bets stay.
You can move between plans and between monthly and yearly at any time under Manage billing. Moving up is charged for the rest of the period; moving down takes effect from the next period.
Refunds and the right to withdraw
If Placed is not for you, we refund your first payment in full when you ask within 14 days of it, no questions asked. Email hello@placed.bet from the address on your account. After that, payments already made are not refunded; cancel and your plan simply ends at the end of the period.
If you are a consumer in the European Union you have a legal right to withdraw from this agreement within 14 days of paying. Our refund policy above gives you that right, and our service starts at once so you never have to wait for it.
Your data
Your bets are yours. You can delete any bet, delete your whole account in Settings at any time, and on the Pro plan export everything. What we collect and why is on the privacy page, which is part of these terms.
What you may not do
Do not use Placed for anything illegal, do not try to break into it or overload it, do not feed it made-up bets or tamper with the extension to do so, do not resell it or offer it as your own, and do not use it to collect other people's data. Do not use it for anyone under 18.
If you break these terms we may close your account. If we do, we refund the unused part of any paid period, unless you broke them on purpose.
What we promise, and what we cannot
We work to keep Placed running and accurate every day, but we cannot promise it is never down or never wrong. Bookmakers change their sites without warning; a bet can be missed or misread until we catch up. We may change, add or remove features, and we may stop offering Placed altogether, in which case we tell you at least 30 days ahead and refund the unused part of any paid period.
Placed is a tool for keeping score. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for betting losses, for decisions you make on the strength of the ledger, for readings you did not check, or for anything a bookmaker does. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer under Finnish and EU law.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date above changes with it. A change that matters to you is announced by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Placed after that, the new terms apply; if you do not want them, cancel and delete your account before then.
Law and disputes
Finnish law applies, without taking away protections you have as a consumer where you live. If we cannot settle a disagreement between us, a consumer in Finland can turn to the Consumer Advisory Service and the Consumer Disputes Board; a consumer elsewhere in the EU can use the consumer dispute bodies of their own country; a consumer outside the EU, in the United States for example, keeps the consumer protections of their own state or country. Otherwise disputes are decided by the District Court of Länsi-Uusimaa in Finland, or by the court of your home if you are a consumer.
